Pipeline ILI Pre Clean

A pipeline must be clean in order to run intelligent pigs to avoid inaccurate data or run failure. Multiple pig runs are often used to clean a pipe and as the amount of displaced debris falls off, an assumption may typically be made that the pipeline is clean. If the pigs haven’t been aggressive enough, or even deposits such as wax have been too hard to remove or indeed laid down in between pig runs, false assumptions of cleanliness can be made which will later cause problems when running intelligent pigs.
