Brushes

Brushes are used for aggressive cleaning of the internal diameter of pipelines. Mounted on steel mandrel pig bodies on springs (Spring Loaded Brushes) or on the same bolt circle as the cups and discs of the pig (Ring Brushes). Brushes can be made from hardened steel, stainless steel or Prostran (a nylon material). They can be made from flat wire for heavy scraping and fine wire for more flexibility and cleaning out pits.  

Spring Loaded

Spring-Loaded Brushes are mounted on hardened steel springs on the steel mandrel body pig. This allows for consistent and continuous brush pressure on the pipe wall as the pig progresses down the pipeline. They are wear compensating as the brush wears from scraping the pipe wall.   Cantilever springs are available for cleaning dual diameter pipelines.

Ring

Full circle and mounted as one piece on a mandrel pig and/or a solid urethane pig. The Ring Brush is mounted on the existing bolt circle. Can be made with heavy flat wire or the fine wire.
